DO-IT-ALL BEAUTY BALMS: TIPS & TECHNIQUES

Our beauty balms can be used for almost anything! Use them to soothe lips, cuticles, dry-skin or feet. Use as a solid perfume, flyaway smoother for hair, after-sun, windburn treatment or even as a daily moisturizer! Here, we share top tips and techniques for using our balms to get soft, radiant skin.

FACE BALM

In the morning and evening, warm a pea-sized amount of balm between your fingertips and massage well onto damp, cleansed skin: face, neck and décolleté. Allow it to absorb by massaging upward and outwards for a few minutes to boost circulation.

FACE SERUM

You can enjoy Silk + Honey balms in any form, liquid or solid. Try it in liquid form by massaging a few drops of serum onto clean skin.

EYE CREAM

Soothe and protect: our balms work wonderfully around the delicate eye area.

HEAD-TO-TOE

Using your fingers, apply a small amount to any part of the body that needs extra moisture – especially lips, cuticles, and rough patches. Try rubbing a balm into your nails or the soles of your feet at bedtime, before popping on a pair of socks and hitting the hay.

MAKE-UP

Dab it over powder eye shadows for a glossy look, or blush and bronzer to make a skin-luminizing cream. Pat it above the cheekbones to give dewy highlights and brush it through brows to tame and condition.

HAIR TREATMENT

Try smoothing it into the ends of your hair to combat frizz.

LIP CARE

Swipe it on as a hydrating lip balm before bedtime.

THE RITUAL

Simple lifestyle habits can work wonders for the tone, surface, and delicate quality of your skin. However, they need to be done as part of a regular and consistent routine. Make sure to wash your face morning and night, and follow with other treatments that are appropriate for your skin type.

CLEANSE

Choosing a daily cleanser that suits your skin is an important first step. Delicate ingredients will clean your face without stripping your skin's normal and essential oils. For super-dry skin, consider using natural oils to tenderly cleanse the skin.

MOISTURIZE

Use toner and moisturizing balm to secure hydration. Try a natural, pH-balanced, non-alcoholic toner that soothes and softens freshly washed skin.

PROTECT

Sun exposure is the greatest cause of skin damage and premature ageing, so protecting your skin all year-round is essential. It can help to prevent UV-rays from damaging skin cells and accelerating collagen breakdown, which can lead to skin discoloration, fine and deep wrinkles, and rough patches. Using a face balm after a long day in the sun will help to soothe your dry skin.

HYDRATE

Staying hydrated is as fundamental for glowing skin as a decent skincare routine. A large part of the body is made up of water that needs to be replenished – so keep an eye on how much H20 you’re drinking every day.

TAKE CARE

What's good for your body is good for your skin, so you'll need to exercise and eat well.

Avoid harmful habits such as smoking and excessive alcohol or caffeine consumption, which can negatively affect your skin.
