The Story of Silk + Honey

Silk + Honey is a lifestyle brand shaped by the beauty found in everyday living. Original creations, thoughtfully gathered pieces, and considered guidance come together through a shared appreciation for craft, ritual, storytelling, and the pleasure of living well.

Meet Sharonda Flynn

Founder & Creative Director

I have always been drawn to the details many people pass by — the curve of a handmade bowl, the way linen softens with time, the quiet charm of a chipped vintage plate, the scent of something warm in the oven, music playing low in the next room. These small things, rich with texture and memory, have shaped the way I live and the way I create.

Over the years, I have traveled, gathered inspiration, and paid close attention to how people care for one another through food, ritual, objects, and home. What stayed with me most were never the landmarks, but the lived-in moments: kitchens filled with steam and laughter, treasured pieces worn gently by use, tables set with intention, recipes shared by hand.

That way of seeing became Silk + Honey.

Silk + Honey is rooted in the belief that beauty belongs in everyday life. Not only in grand occasions, but in quiet afternoons, warm kitchens, and the small rituals that steady us. I think deeply about how something will feel in your hands, how it will live in your home, and what memory it may help create.

I am less interested in perfection than I am in character. A hand-drawn label. A slight glaze variation. A wrinkled linen napkin beside a cup of tea. These are the marks of something real, and to me, they are often the things that make an object, a meal, or a moment worth remembering.

That same point of view shapes everything I bring into Silk + Honey. Some pieces are created from the ground up, while others are found and carefully gathered. In both cases, I am looking for the same qualities: usefulness, craft, character, a sense of story, and the feeling that something belongs.

I have built Silk + Honey slowly and with intention. Every recipe, every object, every word, and every image is chosen with care — not simply to be seen, but to be felt.

I believe beauty is most meaningful when it becomes part of everyday life. A favorite mug reached for each morning. A handwritten recipe tucked into a drawer. A well-loved bowl passed around a family table. These are the things that stay with us.

If you’ve found your way here, perhaps you believe in that kind of beauty too.

Welcome in. There is a place for you here.
